Psychiatry and Counseling Staff
Dr. Matthew Hinthorn is board certified in general psychiatry. He completed medical school and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He thoroughly enjoys living in downtown Houston and making a difference in the mental health of the community.
Alyssa Lucas is board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience in outpatient psychiatry including depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. She was an instructor at the University of Texas Austin, and she is excited to return to The Woodlands area.
Dr. Jared Heathman is board certified in general psychiatry and addiction medicine. He completed medical school at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He was born and raised in Houston, TX. Dr. Heathman provides substance dependence treatment including outpatient detox, Suboxone, and abstinence based medications when appropriate.
John Gillespie is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master’s degree from the Warden School of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, but he considers Houston his home. He has experience providing individual and group counseling working with both adults and adolescents. John specializes in behavior modification, addiction, depression, anxiety, panic, PTSD, and other mood disorders. John brings a unique perspective as a proud Iraq War veteran. He is dedicated to offering compassionate, individualized therapy, meeting clients on their journey to recovery and well-being.
